Cities in the Bratislava Region Top Slovakia’s Quality of Life Ranking

Three cities in western Slovakia have topped a quality-of-life ranking of Slovak cities compiled by the Obce v dátach portal.

Bratislava took first place with a score of 7.5 out of 10, while the second and third positions went to Senec and Malacky.

The study covered 71 district towns in Slovakia. The assessment was based on 29 indicators, including health and environmental conditions, employment opportunities, education, access to services, as well as social and interpersonal relationships. The higher the overall score, the more favourable the conditions for living are considered to be.

The average score for a typical Slovak district town was around 4.6 points. At the same time, four cities from the Bratislava Region — Bratislava, Senec, Malacky and Pezinok — made it into the top 10.
