Wizz Air has announced the launch of a new direct air route between Poprad, Slovakia, and Prague, with flights set to begin at the end of October.
The first flight on the new route is scheduled for 25 October, 2026. Flights will operate three times a week — on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
According to the airline, the new route will expand its network in Slovakia and forms part of its long-term strategy for growth in the Slovak market. Wizz Air currently operates 35 routes from Slovakia to 33 cities across 22 countries. Last year, the airline operated around 2,500 flights to and from the country.
In early June, Wizz Air launched a new scheduled service between Bratislava and the Greek island of Mykonos. The route became the 19th new destination introduced from Bratislava this year and Wizz Air’s 32nd destination from the Slovak capital. Earlier, in May, the Hungarian carrier also launched flights to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, and Tel Aviv.
