The rates were last raised in December 2025, a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>From December, the minimum <strong>value of a meal voucher<\/strong> will rise to <strong>\u20ac7.35,<\/strong> up from the current \u20ac6.98. Employers must cover at least 55% of its value, subject to a statutory maximum. As a result, the maximum employer contribution will increase from \u20ac5.12 to <strong>\u20ac5.39<\/strong> per working day. For a voucher at the minimum value, the employer\u2019s contribution will rise from \u20ac3.84 to<strong> \u20ac4.05<\/strong>, with the employee paying the remainder.<\/p>\n<p>The same minimum and maximum rates will apply to c<strong>ash meal allowances<\/strong>, which employers may provide instead of meal vouchers or organised meals. An additional contribution from a company\u2019s social fund can increase the total support without a set limit.<\/p>\n<p>The changes will also affect employees whose employers provide <strong>hot meals<\/strong>: the maximum employer contribution per meal will likewise rise to <strong>\u20ac5.39.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Meal allowances for business trips will also increase by 5.3%. For trips lasting between five and 12 hours, the allowance will rise from \u20ac9.30 to \u20ac9.80; for trips lasting between 12 and 18 hours, from \u20ac13.80 to \u20ac14.60; and for trips lasting more than 18 hours, from \u20ac20.60 to \u20ac21.70.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The minimum value of meal vouchers (gastrol\u00edstky) in Slovakia will increase before the end of 2026.
